Allying
Allying is a game mechanic that allows the player and other allied players to be unable to deal damage to each Other and to each other's boats.
Mechanics
Allying can be activated via the Ally Button near the home point button, it allows the user to request, accept or remove an alliance with other Pirates. In Marines, the ally button will disappear, but they will be automatically allied with other Marines. If the player turns on Instinct and look at an allied player, they will appear with a green glow around them.
Notes
- Allied players' names will always show the username, not the display name.
- If the player is in a crew, they will automatically be allied with other crew members. Even after un-allying someone in the crew, the crew member will be allied to the other crew member again when they die.
- If the player joins a raid with someone else, they will both be automatically allied.
- This also works with a Pirate and Marine glitching them to be Allies despite the Marines not being able to see or use the menu.
- If the player is a Marine, they are unable to ally Pirates.
Trivia
- There was a glitch where if the user is a Marine and joins the Pirates team through the Pirate Recruiter, the ally button will disappear.
- Allied players can only be damaged with Meme.
- Allying is the only way for the player to ride a Love user's flamingo, a transformed Kitsune or a transformed Dragon with Strong Hair/Saddle. To get teleported by Portal's [C] World Warp without getting allied, the player needs to be outside safe zone. (The player can also get teleported if both are in combat in safe zone.)
