Electric Claw

ElectricElectric Claw
ArticleCombos

Electric Claw is a fighting style obtainable in the Third Sea.

Electric Claw serves as an upgraded version to its predecessor, Electric. It lets the user wield neon blue claws, letting them channel electricity into slash and dash based attacks.

It is mainly used in PvP due to its quick speed and moderately easy-to-hit, high stun, and powerful skills. Although it is recommended to avoid aerial PvP, since its moves work best on a surface.

Electric Claw presents a somewhat steep learning-curve, but in return allows exceptional combo potential, due to its [C] Thunderclap and Flash move working as a perfect combo starter. The fighting style also greatly benefits under disabled screenshake.

It is easy to grind with if the player has good mastery, since it has multi-target attacks. Its M1s however are not very reliable.

Obtainment

  1. Get 400 mastery on the Electric fighting style.
  2. Find the NPC, Previous Hero, located left from the Longma boss under the many arches at the Floating Turtle in the Third Sea.
  3. Talk to him and do his quest that requires the player to get to the Mansion in under 30 seconds. (Tip: the player can set their spawn point to Mansion and use the home button, so the player teleports easily at Mansion in under 30 seconds or use the Portal fruit.)
  4. After completing the quest, return to Previous Hero.
  5. Pay Previous Hero $ 3,000,000 and f 5,000. (After paying once, the player can equip Electric Claw from the Previous Hero anytime for free, like any other fighting style teacher.)
  • The "Raiton" title #0164 will be granted upon obtaining this fighting style.

Mastery

  • 400+ Mastery: Electric Claw is one of the requirements to obtain Godhuman.

The user dashes forward at their target at blinding speeds six times and then smashes them onto the ground, leaving the ground scorched with a blue electric pattern and bouncing the opponent into the air, stunning them for about 0.75 seconds. This move is also amazing for opening combos. Its movements are described to be akin to lightning ripping through the air.

Overview

Pros
General
  • Easy quest to obtain
  • Has high damage.
  • Has high mobility.
    • All moves can be used as movement, even its M1 move.
  • Easy to grind mastery with it because of its high damage and fast M1s.
  • Good combo potential.
  • All moves have low end-lag, making it hard to punish.
  • All moves are able to multi-hit targets.
  • All moves can damage Sea Beasts, even though [C] Thunderclap and Flash can fling the user into the water.
  • Good for Buddha users because if the player uses an auto-clicker, they can click extremely fast and the moves are pretty good as well.
  • Performs exceptionally well with screen-shake turned off, further increasing it's effectiveness.
[Z] Electric Rampage
  • High stun. (When held.)
  • Low cooldown.
[X] Lightning Thrust
  • Easy to land.
  • High range.
[C] Thunderclap and Flash
  • Easy to land.
  • Amazing for fighting skycampers. When used in air, it slams them to the ground.
  • Auto-aiming feature, similar to Venom [X] and Godhuman [C].
  • High range.
  • Has a really fast movement speed.

Cons
General
  • Difficult to obtain as the player needs 400 mastery on Electric, $ 3,000,000 and f 5,000 and needs to be in Third Sea.
  • A bit of a disadvantage in during AFK farming or grinding because of the M1 dash, though this can be circumvented by moving around the player in a circle while moving the pointer to face the enemy.
  • High mastery requirements.
  • Weak in air.
[Z] Electric Rampage
  • Short range.
  • Can be punished if the opponent is fast enough.
  • Barrage has low damage only the final hit deals the most damage. Meaning the enemy can escape the full attack and deal less damage.
[X] Lightning Thrust
  • High knockback.
[C] Thunderclap and Flash
  • Can be a disadvantage when fighting in the sea unless if the user has Shark race.
  • Bounces the enemy sideways instead of upwards if used to hit an airborne enemy, reducing the combo potential.
  • Despite possessing 'auto-aim', it in reality has a set path in which it can 'snag' opponents, therefore it is not guaranteed to connect, and requires practice to memorize the dashes.
  • Requires aim and speed to use accurately.

Trivia

  • Somehow, the damage dealt to Sea Beasts with [Z] Electric Rampage is measly. (Probably because only the final slashes are counted as physical attacks, and it deals most of damage)
  • The player can use Flash Step while triggering [Z] Electric Rampage or [C] Thunderclap and Flash (only for mobile users) by pressing Flash Step first, then pressing "Use" [C] Thunderclap and Flash. This can be used for surprising enemies.
  • Players can turn Electric Claw's M1's to something useful. Using an auto clicker and setting the click interval to one millisecond, players can glide because the M1's of this fighting style has a short dash. This is similar to Dragon Talon.
  • If the player turns on the damage counter before using [X] Lightning Thrust, the damage counter will say 0 damage before it creates the explosion.
  • If [X] Lightning Thrust is held down long enough (approximately 30 seconds), the electrical effects and sound will stop but nothing else changes.
  • [X] Lightning Thrust can sometimes launch the user very far away if they have a low-end PC or high ping, making it great for traveling and running.
  • Sometimes, [X] Lightning Thrust can glitch the user under an island and into the water in raids. (Usually when their ping is high).
  • [C] Thunderclap and Flash sometimes glitches the user into the sea, killing them. The reason is unknown.
  • [C] Thunderclap and Flash can glitch the user under islands like Tiki Outpost and Sea of Treats.
  • The [X] Lighting Thrust move is the same sound as when Piranhas use their shocks.
  • The Electric Claw is the only Fighting Style that has a model just like Guns and Swords.
  • With enough lag, [Z] Electric Rampage cannot teleport the user.
