Laboratory
The Laboratory is an interior location found within Hot and Cold in the Second Sea . It is a technology-themed facility known for its clean, structured design and interactive elements. The Laboratory plays a limited but important role in certain game mechanics, including access to raids.
Location
The Laboratory is located inside the central dome tower of Hot and Cold Island. Its entrance is not visible from the island’s outer structures.
Color Code Panel
The Color Code Panel is a wall-mounted interface found inside the Laboratory. It consists of multiple glowing colored buttons arranged in a fixed pattern. Each button represents a different color input. Clicking on one of the panels will cause the screen's color to change. Arranging the panels in the sequence of Red, Blue, Green, and Blue (🟥🟦🟩🟦) will open a door behind the panels which will lead to the raid room following a steep passage where the players can join or host a raid.
- The player needs to make sure to not hold anything in order to click on one of the panels.
Trivia
- The Laboratory is one of the few locations in the game that combines multiple interactive systems in a single indoor area.
- The Color Code Panel requires players to observe and remember color sequences rather than rely on combat or movement skills.
- Unlike most Second Sea locations, the Laboratory does not contain enemies or NPC combat zones within its interior.
- The Laboratory’s entrance is intentionally hidden inside the mountain, making it less noticeable to players visiting Hot and Cold Island for the first time.
