Marine Fortress
The Marine Fortress is a crescent-shaped island northwest of Marine Starter Island that offers quests for players from level 120 to 150.
Appearance
The Marine Fortress is a crescent-shaped island surrounded by stone walls. The upper section of the crescent contains grassy terrain, trees, and various buildings. Four large guard towers are positioned at each corner of the structure.
The inner curve of the crescent contains a dock that leads to a tall central building where the Vice Admiral is located. Inside this building, there is an unevenly placed truss. In the frontmost left corner of the fortress, a hidden entrance leads to an area where the Black Cape accessory can be purchased.

Collectibles
- Black Cape is purchasable for
50,000. Parlus sells it in the Southeast tower (from the picture). - Love Letter #3 for the Son Quest can be obtained by traversing through a maze under the castle. (The entrance is behind the castle, where a part of the rock is discolored, which can be broken with instinct breaking moves)
- Guns like Cannon ,Refined Slingshot and Dual Flintlock are being purchased here by the Advanced Weapon Dealer
Raid Boss
Every six hours (four hours on a new server), a message will appear in chat saying:
"Loud tremors are being heard across the seas..."
This message means that the raid boss Greybeard has spawned. If the player kills him when they have obtained the Bisento, it will be upgraded into Bisento V2. In order to upgrade it, the player must deal at least 10% damage. The Bisento does not have to be equipped in order for it to be upgraded.
Trivia
- Blade fruit is recommended to grind here beacuse of the immunity and long-ranged M1.
- If the player chooses the Marines side at the start of the game, they will be teleported right next to the castle. But for Pirates, the player will spawn left or right at the end of the crescent.
- It is recommended to use the Marines side to grind the Vice Admiral here because it is closer to the castle.
- Like the Military Soldiers at Magma Village, the player can get the Chief Petty Officers stuck near the edge of the stairs and attack them while they are unable to hit the player.
- Boats on the Marine Fortress cost cheaper, even if the player is a Pirate.
- Grinding the Vice Admiral is one of the best ways to grind money in the First Sea.
- The Marine Fortress is similar to the last island of a Phoenix raid.
- Before Update 10, there was a scaffold and the floor texture was made of stone instead of grass.
- This island is the only island that has 2 quests but not both of them are NPCs. The first one is a NPC quest and the other one is a Boss quest. Many people quit here because there is no secondary NPC making it boring for new players.
- Note that the level of Greybeard is 700 which makes it difficult to defeat.
