Description in the shop

Portal (formerly known as Door) is a Legendary Natural-type Blox Fruit that costs $ 1,900,000 or R$ 2,000 from the Blox Fruit Dealer.

Portal grants the user the ability to create portals, enabling instantaneous movement and teleportation across various set locations. As its moves primarily focus on stuns, mobility and utility rather than direct damage, it is commonly paired with swords, making it an ideal choice for sword mains. Thanks to its unpredictable movement capabilities and synergy with powerful swords, Portal is widely used and highly effective in PvP.

Portal is widely recognized for its exceptional fast-travel capabilities. Its [C] World Warp ability allows the user to instantly teleport to almost any island in the game, with only a few restricted locations. Additionally, users can open portals on both land, air, and water, significantly improving mobility and travel efficiency. It is considered one of the best options for mobility and long-distance transportation in the game.

In addition to its travel utility, Portal is frequently used in PvP and combo setups due to the versatility of its [X] Parallel Escape and [V] Dimensional Rift abilities. These moves offer excellent escape potential and allow the user to avoid stuns from popular fruits such as Lightning, Dough, and Buddha. Despite its strength, Portal is a close-range fruit, and thus requires skill and practice to use effectively in combat.

Abilities

LMB Portal Leap

Touch Screen Portal Leap
Portal M1
When tapping or clicking, the user jumps forward with great speed while backflipping, and leaps off of any nearby objects. This move does not deal damage and does not collide with Enemies or players.

Dash Portal
PortalZWOW
The user dashes forward, in a manner closer to a teleport than a dash. If it hits an enemy, it sends them through multiple portals throwing them around, and finally smashing them to the ground. This move does not break Instinct on the final smash and does only on the impact with the first dash. This move also has slight aim-assist

Portal World
The user enters a separate dimension that lasts for a few seconds. During this state, the user becomes invisible and invincible and is able to move around freely, and it also makes the user immune to water, but not lava. However, if the user uses any skill or M1, it exits them out of the dimension immediately. If the user uses this move next to an enemy, it damages them and stuns them for a little bit. This move cannot be held.

MapWarp
Upon usage, an interface having locations corresponding to their own seas shows up. After choosing the desired destination, a portal forms, with chains wrapping the user and nearby enemies/allies. After full formation, if the user is close enough, they are teleported to the destination alongside their allies (which also need to be in range), and enemies are stunned and damaged. Up until the portal lasts, the user, their allies and enemies can repeatedly go from the origin to the destination back and forth. Afterwards, the portal disintegrates.

Dminsional Rifter
Rift Escape
The user creates a rift to a separate dimension that attracts and pulls in the user along with other nearby enemies within its proximity. Everyone who is absorbed into it will be put into a flat dimension, with the only exit being a portal above the rift's center. While in the dimension, the user's energy slowly drains. The rift lasts until the user's energy fully drains, or until the user leaves/closes the rift by reusing the ability or dying. This move cannot be held.

Portal Hallway
Portal Leap loop
The user creates two portals - one at their cursor and another where they are standing. This is a short-range move that instantly teleports the user upon use, and anyone who enters said portals will be teleported to the other side. If an enemy walks into either of these portals, they will receive damage and get slightly stunned every time they get teleported. The portals last for around 12 seconds. This move cannot be held.

Note: The [V] Dimensional Rift's ability's energy drain is percentage based, and the amount of energy it drains is based on how much energy the user has in total. Here's a more detailed analysis (tested with 2650 Melee stats - 13345 energy):

  • After entering the rift, if the user stays idle, alongside natural energy regeneration, the rift will last for around 278 seconds (4 minutes and 38 seconds), consuming approximately 0.36% of the user's energy per second (48 energy/s).
  • If the user holds down a move whilst inside the rift for as long as it lasts, their energy would be drained in around 120 seconds (2 minutes), losing approximately 0.83% of their energy per second (111.2 energy/s).

The results may not be 100% correct and can vary each try. If the user has 2K or less energy, or fewer than 382 stats, they can stay inside the rift forever, with a very slow energy gain.

Overview

Pros
General
  • Best mobility fruit in the game (four mobility abilities).
  • Good for avoiding and escaping fights.
  • Great for PvP.
  • Unpredictable attack patterns (land and sky mobility).
  • Great counter to Instinct's player detection as moves such as [X], [C], and [V] make the player disappear from the area. However, if the enemy has Pale Scarf, they can usually also detect players on other islands.
  • Great for gun or sword mains.
  • Great for chasing an enemy who has better mobility than the user. (E.g. Light, Tiger, Phoenix)
  • Most reliable source for finding Legendary Sword Dealer, Barista Cousin and Elite Pirates as well as Fruit Hunting.
  • All moves have minor stun damage.
[TAP] M1
  • Good mobility.
[Z] Portal Dash
  • Good stun.
  • Good AoE.
  • Amazing combo starter.
  • Can grab players even if they have Instinct activated.
[X] Parallel Escape
  • Extremely abusable stun, especially since the user is un-detectable, and using macros can flashstep onto players.
  • Makes the user invisible/invincible for a short period of time, and also unable to be detected by Instinct.
    • Completely negates water damage.
  • The duration is unaffected by V3/V4 abilities, Flash Step, etc. as these won't make the user exit. (Because they count as individual moves.)
  • Can be used to punish charge moves like Dark Blade [X] Dark Air Slash (hold) or Godhuman [C] (hold).
  • Good for escaping combos (Instinct-Trick and use, or time it).
[C] World Warp
  • The best mobility move in the entire game.
  • Can teleport to almost any island in the current sea.
  • Extremely useful for transportation.
  • Great for boss hopping.
  • Good for chasing Portals runners (Portals in the Third Sea), as the user can teleport to their location behind their back.
  • Quite good for escaping Bounty Hunters.
    • Allows the user to run to any area (like the Cake Land) and hide or run until they can teleport to a Safe Zone.
  • Very useful when doing sea events. (If an ally dies, the portal the user spawned allows the player to "teleport")
[V] Dimensional Rift
  • High damage to NPCs.
  • Large hitbox.
  • Can be used to trap flying exploiters. (Everything that tries to fly out or fall from the flat platform will be instantly teleported into the center)
  • Great for dealing against runners.
  • Great combo potential due to its large hitbox and all players who are in the dimension will be forced out of it after the user leaves it.
  • Good for hiding, as the user can use [C] World Warp, hide, and then use [V] Dimensional Rift to escape.
  • Can get rid of Terrorsharks or any sea event by having all players of the Sea Exploration Group enter the portal.
[F] Quantum Leap
  • Easy to grind with.
    • Can do massive damage if stacked in the right way (infinite loop).
  • Can be used to confuse and displace players.

Cons
General
  • Not recommended for fruit mains for PvP due to having long cooldowns, lack of AoE and overall low damage, except for the [Z] Portal Dash ability.
    • Easily countered by Blade if both players are sword users.
  • Mainly close-ranged attacks.
  • Requires very precise aiming and timing.
  • Not recommended for Sea Beast hunts for fruit mains because of low damage.
  • High mastery requirements for First Sea and early Second Sea players.
[TAP] M1
  • No damage.
  • Can be annoying, as it could fling the user while grinding.
[Z] Portal Dash
  • Can be hard to hit in PvP without stun or at long range.
  • Short range.
  • Mostly focuses on one target, making it less viable for grinding NPCs.
  • Can easily be Instinct-tricked, allowing the opponent to escape a potential combo.
[X] Parallel Escape
  • Can be hard to hit in PvP without stun.
  • A well-timed Buddha [F] can drag the player out of the ability.
    • On rare occasions, other well timed attacks may pull the user out too (ex: Godhuman [Z] Soaring Beast)
  • Bosses can snipe the user as soon as the user exits. (This can be countered by using a different move.)
[C] World Warp
  • Long startup, the user has to wait 2 seconds before getting teleported upon activation.
  • Very low damage.
  • The portal stays for a while, making it easy for players to catch up.
[V] Dimensional Rift
  • Low damage to players.
  • Most exploiters can somehow disappear or move non-stop and can still kill the user if they are not careful. Most of them will find a way to turn off the PvP to reset.
  • Drains a small amount of energy over time.
  • Only useful on players, although it still does damage and brings NPCs to the dimension, but they glitch out.
  • Cannot be used in Friendly PvP without leaving the arena.
  • When the opponent exits out of the portal, they gain i-frames for one second, so the user won't be able to do combos after they get out of the portal.
[F] Quantum Leap
  • Damages enemies slowly.

Trivia

  • When the Portal dimension is used while having no stats in melee, the player can stay in the dimension forever due to the low energy drain being so low.
  • The teleport abilities do not teleport other players if they have PvP disabled or if they are in a Safe Zone and are not allied to the user.
  • Portal is the first fruit that has a teleport move that other players can access.
  • Although Portal and Phoenix share the Robux price of 2,000, they do not share the same money value. Portal is valued at $ 1,900,000, while Phoenix is valued at $ 1,800,000.
    • This is the first pair to share the same Robux price but not the same value, the second pair being Control and Kitsune. Both are priced at 4,000, but Control is valued at $ 9,000,000, while Kitsune is valued at $ 8,000,000.
  • Portal is the first fruit that is able to bring up a separate GUI.
  • Alongside the teleport move, Portal has the most mobility moves at four. Phoenix is second at three.
  • The permanent version of Portal has a lot of value, mostly because of its [C] World Warp move, as it can teleport nearly anywhere.
  • Midnight Blade and Bizarre Revolver create portals similar to those created by Portal.
  • None of Portal’s moves have destructible physics.
  • The portals once appeared sideways due to a bug. It is unknown why it occurred, but as of now the bug has been patched. However, the user can still make a sideways portal by somehow glitching and making themselves underground until their body is sideways, then using [C] World Warp, and the portal will be sideways.
  • Raids seem to teleport players to the raid islands through portals similar to the ones created by Portal.
  • Portal is the only blox fruit to be Octagon shaped.
[TAP] M1
  • Can be used to glitch through some walls (E.g.: The igloo entrance on the cold side of Hot and Cold in the Second Sea).
  • Used to have the shortest cooldown at 2–2.5 seconds, but it has since been nerfed to 3.5 seconds.
  • This move is buffed slightly in the dungeons lobby.
[X] Parallel Escape
  • When using this ability and passing through [C] World Warp from the enemy, the invisible duration will reset upon teleportation, causing the user to become invisible again.
[C] World Warp
  • The user can teleport to the Cursed Ship without reaching Lv. 1000 through the use of this move. However, the enemies do not drop Ectoplasms. The user will still be able to talk to the NPC's, also the Cursed Captain will not drop the Hellfire Torch to the player, and they will not be able to accept any Quests (because of the level requirement).
  • This is a great move for escaping Portal [V] Dimensional Rift loopers as this move cannot be canceled when used no matter what damage is taken.
  • This move could actually deal damage, even to the user. However, the amount of damage dealt was 1 damage or less, which is also why when the user teleported through the portal, the health bar on the top right appeared instead of being hidden.
  • This move could teleport the user out of a raid and still keeps the timer. This means if the raid was beaten, they would still be awarded the fragments even if they did not actively participate in the raid. When outside the raid, the user was immune to the attacks of other players. (This has been patched in Update 26.8)
  • While the GUI (menu) is open, players can use moves and Air Jump/Dash freely, whereas before Update 27.0, players were unable to do anything except walk and jump only once.
  • If a player uses this ability then dies, the portal will constantly teleport the player's remains (pieces shattered after dying), meaning upon respawning, the player will be constantly teleported to the target location.
  • If used on lower-end devices it can cause lag from being constantly teleported from both ends of the portal.
  • Portal's C move can be used as a "Admin Killer Combo," when the user teleports someone to Hot and Cold in Second Sea and use the Hallow Scythe to launch them into the lava which will kill them almost instantly. This can also be done with swords other than Hallow Scythe that have moves that knockback players.
[V] Dimensional Rift
  • There's a bug that could happen by someone letting the player enter [V] Dimensional Rift and then immediately quit the game. This leads to players being able to turn off fog, which effectively helps to clarify vision.
  • If the player is launched out of the dimension through the top portal by a high-knockback move, such as Godhuman [C] Sixth Realm Gun, a bug may cause them to end up in a void far away from the islands.
  • Sometimes, when the dimension despawns and a player is in it, they will fall from the sky, high above the islands.
  • During a Terrorshark Event, the user can use [V] Dimensional Rift to cancel the Event (note: if theres other people, they have to join too or the event wont be canceled)
[F] Quantum Leap
  • The user can use this to "swap places" with an enemy. However, if they use this when the enemies are really close to them, they will be at the portal where the user exits.
  • The portals can still be used while in the void from [X] Parallel Escape, which means that the user can use this move for transporting/escaping quickly on the battlefield.
  • It can be opened up at any position and distance between each other, so the user can essentially trap NPCs, bosses or players in a loop dealing massive damage to them along with the minor stun damage dealt from entering the portal until the portal closes.
  • Since it is an instant teleport move, it can be used to clip through walls, such as the Temple of Time, allowing players to view the outside of the temple.
