Sanguine Art is a dark and vampiric-based fighting style that is obtainable in the Third Sea.
The style focuses on using 'dark' styled leech based attacks (similar to Ghoul and Shadow), dealing high damage, with a lot of utility and auto-aim.
Sanguine Art's life leech, decently easy-to-hit moves, and very high combo potential make it one of the best fighting styles for general use, with its main rivals being Godhuman and Electric Claw.
Obtainment
Sanguine Art can be learned from Shafi, who can be found in a base linked by a tunnel near the Island Boys, located at the Tiki Outpost.
To purchase Sanguine Art from Shafi, the player must:
This is dropped after defeating the Leviathan and using a harpoon from the Beast Hunter ship. The player then has to carry it back to Tiki Outpost to obtain it in their Inventory. The player will lose the heart upon purchase.
If the player does not have a Leviathan Heart in their inventory, Shafi will reply with "You lack a cold heart..." during the dialogue.
The user summons dark red energy, first doing a slash to the left with right hand, a slash to the right with left hand, then doing a double slash with both hands, ending with a forward blast of darkness. These M1s have moderate range, with the 4th M1 having slightly more range. The click speed is very fast, similar to Water Kung Fu's. If it is paired with Buddha, it will have greatly increased range.

The user propels themself towards the cursor, traveling a short-medium distance. If an enemy is in the way, the user almost immediately grabs them by their neck and unleashes bat-like creatures on them which heal the user as they deal damage, before knocking them away. If hit, this move heals 20% of the user's total health, even if the enemy dodges this attack with Instinct. If the enemy is further away in the path of the move, the user will travel around 1.6x farther than normal. This move is similar to Shadow[C] Nightmare Leech.

The user launches six claw-like slashes towards the cursor (similar to Dragon (West)'s [X] Infernal Pincer and Dragon's third base M1), leaving claw marks on the surrounding floor or walls in front of them. These slashes explode into a scarlet burst at the end if they collide with a solid surface. This move has greater damage if the enemy is hit by both the drag and the explosion when used from a certain distance.
If aimed at the ground, while an enemy is far:
The burst will bounce enemies back towards the user, or into the sides depending on how the move is aimed.
If aimed forward while an enemy is close:
The claws will push enemies away from the user.

The user fires a dark-red, leech-like blast toward the cursor. This move has two distinct variations depending on how it is used.
If hit:
The user grabs the enemy and pulls them in, and then summons five energy balls to spawn around the enemy and then attack them. It also splits into more "Leeches" based on how many enemies are getting hit. This skill can disable the enemy's Dashes, Flash Step, and moves for ~1,2 seconds. If the enemy is stunned in midair, the stun duration is increased by ~0.2%.
If not hit:
The user creates a sphere of darkness which hovers in the air before exploding, dealing minor damage to enemies within the explosion radius. At the same time, a leech will be created that chases the enemy within a larger radius, dealing damage on contact. If no enemies are within its range, then the orb will simply dissipate.

If it hits:
Breaks Instinct if aimed correctly, and the projectiles and the pull part both can be dodged.
If it does not hit:
The small explosion and the large projectile both can break Instinct.
Amazing for grinding, Raids and Sea Events due to the long range and life steal moves. If the player combines Sanguine Art with a V4 Race, especially Angel and Ghoul, they can completely solo Raid by spamming M1 without needing Buddha or many people to participate, but their level must be high.
Extremely hard and time-consuming to get due to needing to spawn the Leviathan and needing the Beast Hunterboat in order to obtain the Leviathan Heart as well as requiring the player to get a lot of very difficult to obtain materials.
Some moves have short range compared to other fighting styles.
Moves are not that good with Buddha due to its attacks primarily forcing forward.
Strong discarding, which prevents the continuation of some combos.
Slight endlag, easy to punish if missed.
May be hard to land if far away.
[C] Devourer of Worlds
Slightly long cooldown.
High endlag, making the user vulnerable to attacks if missed.
The dark orb is easily avoided as the orb has delay before the initial explosion, rendering this move easily evadable at longer ranges.

Trivia
The first part of the name "Sanguine Art" derives from the Latin word "Sanguis", meaning "blood", and in literary and heraldic usage denotes "blood-red", reflecting the style's aesthetic.
Sanguine Art is the only fighting style to have a life-stealing move. ([Z] move - Bloodbane Drain)
Likewise, the bats can damage large objects (Such as Sea Beasts), but it does not restore the user's health or grab. In simple words, the life leech ability simply doesn't work on them.
Additionally, this move features aim assist that enables the user to grab enemies within the attack path directly ahead, provided they are at a close enough distance. This effectively extends the range for grabbing enemies to approximately 1.6 times farther along the straight line in front of the move.
The [C] move is a multi-target AoE move, meaning it can grab multiple targets at the same time if directly used.
Even if it misses, it can still track multiple enemies.
Sanguine Art has the highest [C] move damage of any fighting style in the game.
The player is not required to have mastery on any other fighting style to learn Sanguine Art. It is possible to learn even if the user is still using Combat.
Sanguine Art is the only fighting style without an upgraded (or downgraded) version of them.
If the player has a Leviathan Heart and interacts with Shafi, their materials (if they have them) will be consumed automatically, even if they didn't wish to.
There is a glitch where after using [C] Devourer of Worlds, the user will be stuck in the move stance. This can be undone by using the [C] move again.
Unlike most other Fighting Styles or Swords, Sanguine Art has a unique 'deadzone' when used with the Buddha transformation. It cannot hit enemies that are standing directly under the user's feet or too close to the character's center. Furthermore, it lacks a 360-degree hitbox, making it unable to hit enemies behind the user, which can make grinding slightly more inconvenient compared to other fighting styles. Also, Sanguine art is unique above many fighting styles due to its m1 attacks being ranged allowing you to hit enemies from a distance
