Skylands
The Skylands are a group of cloud-based islands located in the First Sea. They begin at sea level like other islands but gradually rise into the sky. Most areas are accessible without flight, as the islands are connected by small bridges.
Appearance
First Island
The first island of the Skylands is a crescent-shaped, grounded island. The island is mostly covered in grass and is dotted with rocks. When the player goes at the back side of the first or the base island, they will find two big rocks and one of the two rocks has the Mad Scientist, who sells the Electric fighting style. There is also a small lake, supplied by a waterfall from higher islands.
In the lake there is also a mini wharf with 3 NPC’s: Angler, Luxury Boat Dealer, Boat Dealer.
Second Island
The second island of the Skylands is the first island to be on a cloud and above sea level. It has Sky Bandits on it, along with a large temple near the back of the island. On top of the temple is Yoshi, who sells the Tomoe Ring. The island is entirely devoid of grass.
Third Island
The third island of the Skylands is also the smallest, being a tiny area with six trees and four Dark Masters. The island is covered with grass and some trees, and there is a large, flat-shaped rock on the side of the island.
Fourth Island
The fourth island of the Skylands features the most NPCs out of all of them. It includes the Sky Adventurer (Quest Giver), the Set Home Point, and the Master Sword Dealer. This island is covered with grass and trees, has paths, and features numerous houses. It also has a waterfall flowing down to the first island. There is a building with a door that can be destroyed by Dark Blade Z, which has one of the three Love Letters in it.

Upper Skylands
To get access the Upper Skylands, it is recommended to jump on the tallest tree near the island, then air jump 7-9 times and use dashes to get to the island (or just use a flight move) containing the temple that teleports to this location. The upper part of the Skylands, nicknamed the 'Upper Skylands', has areas that are so massive that there is a separate page for it, accessible here.
Trivia
- The Skylands are a group of islands with the second highest amount of separate landmasses, beaten out only by the Sea of Treats, which has five islands.
- Since Update 17.2, the Skylands (excluding the Upper Skylands) now connect with each other with bridges. The player no longer needs to Fly or Air Jump up there.
- It is recommended to skip the Sky Bandits quest by server hopping Vice Admiral at Marine Fortress.
- Until Update 24, the player could fly through Hoops to change their appearance if they were using the Dragon (Classic) fruit.
