T-Rex
T-Rex is a Mythical Beast-type Blox Fruit that costs
2,700,000 or
2,350 from the Blox Fruit Dealer.
The T-Rex fruit allows the user to transform into a half-armored, horned Tyrannosaurus Rex covered in bones. In this form, the user can create green air blades, pull in opponents with a roar, summon meteors, and cause craters. While transformed, attacks can inflict heavy bleeding on enemies, and running exacerbates the health loss when fighting against a T-Rex.
T-Rex has a relatively high demand in trading for its good grinding potential. It has good performance in terms of PvP because of its high damage, but is Instinct-Trick able and very weak in aerial combat. Although no mastery requirements exist for the [M1] attacks, casual First Sea and early Second Sea players will only have a maximum of four skills unlocked due to this Blox Fruit's high mastery levels with the transformation move. For this reason, it is highly recommended to eat T-Rex after mid to late game and use other farming fruits if the player wants to farm more efficiently.
The Prey Mark Passive of this fruit is effective at countering fruits such as Pain, Empyrean, and other fruits that rely on chargeable/holdable attacks, as it can cancel moves.
Abilities
| Name | Description | Showcase |
|---|---|---|
| The user starts with 0% of the "Fury Meter" bar when spawned. The user's Fury Meter needs to be full to be able to transform into a T-Rex. Fury is regained over time while not transformed. Being transformed does not passively drain Fury Meter. Using moves or taking damage while transformed decreases the user's Fury Meter by a certain amount. When dealing damage while transformed, the Fury Meter will increase. The fury meter takes 1 minute and 30 seconds to fill to full from 0% to 100%. | ||
| When transformed, the user gains approximately 43% damage reduction (55% against NPCs) from all sources, 2x increased dash range and jump height, and a 20% speed increase. | ![]() | |
| During transformation, the user's attacks will apply a Prey Mark to the hit opponents that lasts for around 6 seconds; the farther they are from the user, the higher the tick damage they'll receive. However, damage from the Prey Mark does not contribute to the regeneration of the Fury Meter, and also doesn't deal damage to enemies that are close enough to the user. | ![]() |

|---|---|---|---|
| [TAP] Normal Attack | The first three M1s can be dodged. The fourth M1 (swipe) breaks Instinct, but it can be dodged in the edge. | ||
| [Z] Tail Swipe | Cannot break Instinct in any way. | ||
| [X] Predatory Screech | In the whirlwind, it can be Instinct-tricked if very close to the user. | ||
| [C] Hunter's Rage | Breaks Instinct at certain ranges. However, it cannot be dodged if too close to the user, but the attack can be dodged on the edge. Always breaks Instinct once grabbed. | ||
| [V] Reptilian Scales | The roar and meteorites break Instinct. However, it can be dodged on the edge. | ||
| [F] Gigantic Leap | Breaks Instinct most of the time, but it can be dodged on the edge. |

| Prey Mark Passive | Does not interact with Instinct in any way. | ||
| [TAP] Normal Attack | The first three M1s can be dodged. The roar breaks Instinct, but it can be dodged on the edge. | ||
| [Z] Tail Swipe | Breaks Instinct if close. Otherwise, it can be dodged. | ||
| [X] Predatory Screech | The whirlwind can be dodged/Instinct-tricked if very close to the user. | ||

| [V] Reptilian Scales | Does not deal damage. | ||
| [F] Gigantic Leap | Breaks Instinct most of the time, but it can rarely be dodged on the edge. |

Trivia
- T-Rex has been nominated to be added to the game since Update 7.
- T-Rex has the same price as Mammoth, both costing
2,700,000 or
2,350.
- T-Rex is one of the few fruits to leave effects on nearby users' screens when using a move/transformation.
- T-Rex's Prey mark does not deal damage to transformed Dragon users.
- The player has a tail while they have T-Rex equipped. This is only cosmetic and does not add anything, unlike Kitsune's Tails.
- Due to the infliction of tick damage on enemies during the transformation, T-Rex can excel in PvP, being able to damage the enemy even at exceedingly high distances. It can also let the user see where the opponent is, making it very hard for them to escape.
- The Prey Mark's tick damage works best when inflicting damage and then getting teleported to Portal's [V] Dimensional Rift.
- This also works surprisingly well with Portal's [C] World Warp.
- T-Rex, along with Dragon and Gas, are the only unawakenable Blox Fruits that have unique transformation names ([V] Reptilian Scales for T-Rex, [V] Imperial Evolution for Dragon and [V] Vapor Condensation for Gas).
- T-Rex, Venom and Dragon are the only fruits with a Fury Meter.
- Out of the three, T-Rex is the newest.
- T-Rex has a glitch that allows to go through the sea in transformation by using [C] Hunter's Rage while aiming down in the water, though they will die instantly. The user will keep falling through the map if they have Shark race and teleport back at the spawn point of the last island they stepped on.
- If the opponent stays at the edge of T-Rex's [X] Predatory Screech move, they could walk out of it as they are not fully stunned.
- The in-game T-Rex's design bears resemblance to transformed Dragon's western variant, due to the curved, backwards facing horns on both their heads. Their relation is further implied by the fact that both T-Rex and Dragon are linked to the Prehistoric Island.
- T-Rex's [C] Hunter's Rage can be used like Flash Step if the wall the user is trying to go through is thin enough.
- Strangly, while using shift lock, the [Z] Tail Swipe move glitches sometimes and doesn't hit the opponent even while well within range (more commonly Transformed)
- There is a glitch where if the user's game hasn't loaded properly, the entire animation sprite sheet of the prey mark will appear above the enemy's head.
- The silhouette of its beast form can be seen when using [C] Hunter's Rage untransformed.
- T-Rexβs M1βs can hit Sea Beasts.
- If the user uses Transformed [F] Gigantic Leap while in water, the player moves to the new area without the jumping animation (More often when using shiftlock).
- T-Rex is used by the Ancient Beast, and is able to transform into a t-rex nearly twice as big as normal.
- The Gorilla God uses T-Rex's M1s, but with an orange skin of it never seen before (This could be hinting towards an upcoming T-Rex skin or mutation).
- Inside Control's domain, this fruit's VFX color turns into a teal color, very similar to the one seen in T-Rex's physical fruit model.
- Using [F] Gigantic Leap can let the user go through walls and ceilings.
- While transformed, the user has no double jump animation.
- There is a very strange glitch with T-Rex that causes players to be flung out of reality and back after using Flash Step sometimes, and it can cause the user to become very slow, have delayed inputs, unable to air jump or use Flash Step, and lets them move during skills. But worry not, because this glitch can easily be fixed by untransforming.
- Using shiftlock during [F] Gigantic Leap and turning around can slightly change the trajectory.
- T-Rex is considered to be Mammothβs rival.
- T-Rex is a common fruit used by pvp hackers.
- T-Rex M1 damage was slightly nerfed without notice
- T-Rex is the only fruit with a m1 in the game that does not give a suspicious kill.
- Pairing T-Rex Prey Mark tick damage with Cyborg V4βs Aftershock tick damage can result in a tick damage stack which is really helpful in PvP to catch runners and dealing with teamers.
