Yama/Puzzle
The Yama Puzzle is a puzzle that takes place in various locations throughout the Third Sea.
Steps
Elite Pirates
To obtain the Yama sword at the Secret Temple, the player must have completed a minimum of 20 Elite Hunter or Player Hunter quests. At this threshold, there is a random chance to pull the sword. Completing a total of 30 such quests guarantees the ability to obtain Yama. The quests can be mixed—for example, 15 Elite Hunter quests and 15 Player Hunter quests still qualify the player.
Elite Hunter quests are generally faster and more consistent than Player Hunter quests, which can be time-consuming, especially when targeting bounty hunters. Completing 20 quests grants a chance to obtain Yama, while completing 30 quests guarantees it. With an efficient fighting style or sword, completing all 30 in one run can take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Portal is recommended or having the portals unlocked, as the Elite Pirates most often spawns at the Floating Turtle and Hydra Island, and while only occasionally at Great Tree and Port Town. Server hopping is highly recommended to speed up the process.
Secret Temple
The Secret Temple is located on Hydra Island in the Third Sea, behind the waterfall. The gate can be broken with a Destructible Physics move (e.g. Godhuman [X], Sharkman Karate [X]), or entered using Flash Step. Inside, five Ghosts can be found, which are relatively easy to defeat. The Yama sword can be pulled by clicking it four times until one of the two messages below appears. The pull attempt can be repeated after meeting the required 20–30 Elite Pirate or Player Hunter kills until it succeeds. After obtaining Yama, the player also unlocks the Demon Mode title #159.
